HOPEFUL: A strong education serving the public is about more than
a building. It is about giving every child the best learning experience possible.

PROGRESSIVE: School choice is a progressive idea. Not only does our
nation have a duty to educate its children, but there should be equal opportunity in
education. Each and every child – regardless of income or ethnicity – should have
access to a quality education.

RESPONSIVE: No school, no matter how successful, serves the unique
needs of every child. School choice gives parents the power to find the school that
best serves their child.

INCLUSIVE: School choice serves all children by encouraging all schools,
both public and private, to improve and to be held accountable for results.

SUCCEEDING: School choice works for education. The United States
has the world’s strongest system of higher education, thanks in part to school choice.
Many publicly financed choice programs, such as Pell Grants and the GI Bill, allow
students to attend public and private colleges and universities.

EMPOWERING: School choice strengthens local control of education. It empowers parents and local teachers – not bureaucrats and politicians – to make more decisions about the education of a community’s children.

EFFICIENT: It is important to fully fund public schools so they have the resources to educate our children. School choice helps ensure that money is spent effectively by allowing parents to hold schools accountable.
